Abstract
Based on the measurements of ultrasonic propagation time of ultrasonic sensors installed on both sides of the multichannel monitoring area, sound tomography imaging system for the quasi real time wind flow monitoring was investigated. In order to realize the simultaneous transmittance to reduce the data collection time, pseudo noise (PN) sequence modulated signals were used. In the usual analysis, however, to calculate the propagation time lag, number of measurement data becomes very large and takes long time. For the resolution of the problem, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) was introduced and its performance for the vortex wind velocity reconstruction was investigated to verify the real time measurement capability of the proposed system.
