Abstract
3GPP LTE is a suitable candidate for high quality wireless communication insurance according to the mobile users´ requirements thanks to its radio link flexibility using Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC), Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technologies. This paper addresses the resource allocation optimisation problem aiming to guarantee a high spectral efficiency promised over the LTE-downlink network. Therefore, we propose here a recursive Physical Resource Bloc (PRB) allocation algorithm is developed in this paper. In this context, we use the Effective Signal-to-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (ESINR) metric to properly characterize multi-state channels conditions. Then, the basic idea of the proposed algorithm is to allocate to each mobile user its best PRB according to the highest measured ESINR in order to ensure the maximum system capacity. Simulations results show that the proposed algorithm provides better performance in terms of system capacity than other recent works thanks to its recursion procedure.
