Abstract
This paper presents a design method of a robust fractional order PID for time-delay uncertain systems. The proposed method uses constrained optimization algorithm to determine the five unknown parameters of the controller. The constraints are based on the uncertainties of the system. A simulation example followed by a real application are presented to show the method efficiency.
