Abstract
An analysis of the steady-state tracking error of GPS receiver frequency locked loop (FLL) is presented. The steady-state tracking error induced by the thermal noise is studied based on the FLL loop structure linear model. The tracking performance of four frequency discriminator is compared. By the numerical solution method, the thermal noise induced tracking error variances of four frequency discriminator are accurately calculated. Simulation results prove the accuracy of the theoretical numerical solution of the FLL steady-state tracking error.
