Abstract :
This paper presents a CMOS 130nm near-threshold implantable transmitter which supports a 40Mb/s baseband data rate that utilizes the MedRadio spectrum for biomedical wireless communication. The proposed transmitter achieves a total power consumption of 780μW with the use of a reduced supply-rail voltage of 0.7V. The design incorporates a near-threshold VCO and ASK modulator that can be integrated into the ultra-low power biomedical transceiver for an implantable reverse telemetry communication.
