Abstract :
The Cloud is increasingly becoming the first choice for deploying various IT services due to its flexibility and on-demand scalability. However, the cloud tenants feel handicapped by the limited visibility of the connectivity between the various compute nodes allocated when their request is instantiated by the Cloud Service Provider. In this paper, we propose, a flexible and extensible network monitoring framework called CloudView that enables tenants to monitor the connectivity between the nodes (compute and storage) of their Cloud Instantiation. We have integrated CloudView with OpenStack[4] Nova and evaluated its performance on different Cloud Service infrastructures.
