China Unicom: Smart City construction

On the basis of the three networks — city optical network, WCDMA wireless network and WLAN, relying on the nine data centers, and using the cloud computing-based unified national platform of Smart City as the carrier, China Unicom has developed a “Co-building, Convergence and Openness” model to promote the progress of Smart City since releasing the “Smart City” development strategy on September 4, 2012.
