Abstract :
This paper presents an improved adaptive hysteresis band control (AHBC) technique for DC-DC buck converter, which can adaptively adjust the hysteresis band based on input and output voltages to achieve fast dynamic response and good steady state. Since the proposed control scheme only uses a comparator with hysteresis and a feedback resistor, numbers of components in a control circuit are reduced. Also, error amplifier is not used, the stability of the converter will be become excellent. Finally, steady state analysis of the proposed converter is performed and verified by simulation results.
