Abstract
In distributed control or for multi-agent systems a decomposition approach often is used for controller synthesis, at which the performance of the decomposed systems is optimized. This work discusses the relationship between the performance of the decomposed and the original system and proposes a method for their optimal calculation. It is shown that by modifying the synthesis procedure, very tight bounds can be achieved with additional performance improvement.
