An environment to support the discovery of potential partners in a research group

One of the keywords in scientific research is collaboration, because closer relationships facilitates the exchange of knowledge, reduces the search time and resources required for its implementation. A collaborative work has less chance of error and has greater visibility. Scientific collaboration is also very encouraged by educational institutions and research funding agencies. However, scientific collaboration has still some challenges. Collaboration can vary according to several factors, such as the culture of the country, its economic situation, the area of study. The academic community has been studying collaboration issues in order to find better solutions to support and encourage collaboration among researchers. This work presents an environment that supports scientific collaboration, so that researchers can find potential research partners that work on closer topics and who seems to have common interests. It is intended to provide interaction between researchers in order to improve, streamline and enhance the results of scientific collaboration.
