Abstract :
In today´s surveillance radar systems multichannel rotary joints play the role of complex passive sub-systems. In this paper we present an overview about the current design status of such devices. The progress in the system architecture of radars is changing the requirements for the sub-system rotary joint accordingly. Highlighting future development trends in this field is another task of the paper.
