Abstract :
This paper addresses to a problem of velocity estimation in a high resolution Doppler radar. A multicarrier radar with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmitted signal is considered. Two subspace approaches for velocity estimation are applied. The first method exploits conventional MUSIC algorithm for each subcarrier with averaging of velocity estimates. The second method is based on joint subcarriers processing using rank reduction (RARE) technique. Effectiveness of the proposed techniques is confirmed by simulation results.
