Abstract
Scenario-based stochastic unit commitment (SBS-UC) algorithm is an effective approach to solve unit commitment problem considering wind power integration. The results of SBS-UC have a close relation with the formation mode of scenario set. So, how to construct a reasonable scenario set is a key problem for SBS-UC. In this paper, using the same SBS-UC model, the scheduling results of two different scenario sets are compared. Test scenario set 1 is obtained according to the forecasted probability distribution of each period, without considering the time-domain correlation information of wind farm generation. Accordingly, test scenario set 2 contains time-domain correlation information of wind farm generation through estimating the correlation coefficient matrix. This paper compares the scheduling results and emphasizes the important role of time-domain correlation information of wind farm generation for unit commitment considering wind power integration.
