Abstract
The key of the technique to strengthen RC structures with near-surface-mounted CFRP strips lies in the bond performance of different interfaces (including CFRP-epoxy interface and epoxy-concrete interface), which may subject to the effect of many factors. It is presented here an experimental study on the bond performance of CFRP strips-concrete interface using a simple shear test set-up. The effect of different factors, including concrete strength, groove width, distance between the groove and edge of the specimen and bond length etc., are examined. Data obtained and phenomena observed during the test are all analyzed.
