Abstract
This paper investigates the timing of employment of patent information for conducting university patenting, as the latter is related to the success of university entrepreneurship. Particularly focus is put on the role of their working experiences related to university entrepreneurship. By surveying 111 university scientists working in biotechnology sectors in Taiwan, it showed that the timing of using patent information for university patenting is correlated with the source of patent information and working experience.
