  • Abstract
    This paper presents an optical packet and circuit integrated network (OPCI Net) to contribute service diversity, energy efficiency and a simplified control mechanism toward new generation networks. To realize dynamic operation of OPCI Net, not only physical layer technologies but also network control layer technologies have been developed. Recently, we developed an integrated optical packet and circuit switching node with operability and stability, and constructed a ring network testbed. Here we show the performance of the switching node and the demonstration for multiplexed 100 Gbps optical packets and 14-wavelength 10 Gbps path signals on the ring network testbed.
