  • Abstract
    We propose a new large-scale optical path cross-connect architecture that uses wavelength and waveband selective switches (WSSs and WBSSs) to exploit multi granular optical path routing. Its effectiveness is verified in a comparison to the conventional OXC system. The results prove that the proposed architecture can offer a substantial switch scale reduction.
