  • Abstract
    A highly-efficient, low-noise optical source consisting of a Si micro-ring resonator (MRR) and a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) has been developed. A MRR-based modulator integrated with the optical source exhibited a temperature control free 10 Gbps modulation over a wide temperature range.
