  • Abstract
    A new approach which is based on spectral estimation is presented to efficiently estimate the radial velocity of ground moving targets in multi-channel SAR systems. This approach can provide easily a better estimate of the target radial velocity, especially in the condition of low SCR. It is shown that both Capon method and MUSIC method for velocity estimation can be unified to a simple one by the power of R (POR) method. Thereby, the unified framework of spectral-based estimation method is described. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the method.
