  • Abstract
For Multiple-input Multiple-output (MIMO) tracking radar with long-range detection, when there is no range ambiguity, the pulse repetition period is longer, the time-bandwidth product of emission signals is larger, and the SNR of echo is very low. Through coherent processing of MIMO radar received signals, the target detection performance and recognition performance can be improved. This paper described the coherent processing method of MIMO radar. Different form phased array radar, MIMO radar will have the problem of coupling of range, angle and Doppler. The paper introduced the MIMO radar coherent integration based on Radon-Fourier Transform (RFT). The coherent processing was made on received signals by multi-dimensional search, and the parameter estimation was completed at the same time. Utilizing the characteristics of frequency diversity, high resolution was achieved through using Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT). Simulation results indicate that this method is effective to improve the measurement accuracy in low SNR.
