Abstract :
Multi-user MIMO with OFDM promises broadband data transmission with a direct gain in multiplexing capacity of overall system which is the key feature of next generation wireless standard like IEEE 802.16m. As the uplink channel carries information transmitted by multiple AMS in same time-frequency recourse, the pilot based channel estimation technique is adversely affected by inter-AMS interference. This paper proposes an uplink model to estimating the CTF between individual AMS to servicing ABS with proper pilot-null subcarrier scheduling for interference cancellation with optimum detection technique. This model also provides an improved data transmission scheme by providing diversity at transmitting side.
