Abstract :
A kind of high accuracy single base station positioning system is proposed based on TOA in this paper. The system is made possible by applying the inverse relations between the arriving signal amplitude and angle obtained between the tag and base station. The system can get the distance by analysing the communication protocol to have the flight time of the arrived sigal. Instead of the traditional average algorithm, the method of data processing in this paper is maximum probability estimation method. A prototype system based on above theroy is implemented, the distance difference is smaller than 2cm and the angle difference is in 1 degree by testing the system. Compared with the traditional positioning method which need 3 base station at least, the system prosposed in this paper only have a single station to configure. Since the system is easy to configure, the system can be widely used in the future which is can been seen.
