Abstract
Demonstration tests of Japanese-format terrestrial “one-seg” digital broadcasting (in combination with autonomous solar-power generators set-up in an Indonesian rural area without its own power generation) were performed, the results of the tests were analyzed, and the application of this broadcasting format in the public sector was investigated. The results of the investigation and analysis confirmed that this one-seg broadcasting system is effective as a means of distributing information to citizens in rural areas without electricity.
