Abstract
State estimation (SE) is a fundamental function in energy management system, thus it is very important to evaluate the accuracy of SE results. Since the real states of practical power systems are unknown, the accuracy for SE results can only be measured according to measurement residuals. Due to the huge number of measurements, it is very important to find a reasonable scalar index stands for the values of all these residuals and indicate the accuracy of SE results. In this paper, several scalar indexes are introduced to evaluate SE results. The performance of these indexes is compared based on numerical tests.
