Abstract :
This paper presents an analysis of the static switching in a DC circuit. Power semiconductor devices are used in various electrical switchgear with static switching because they are very fast and do not require maintenance. In the static switchgear there is not the electric arc as in the case of electromechanical switchgear. By the simulations performed in this work were obtained the waveforms of currents and voltages that occur during the switching. The analysis conducted in this paper highlights the advantages and disadvantages of static switching in a DC circuit.
