Abstract
Whenever a critical event occurs an alarm message should be broadcast to the entire network as soon as possible. In order to prolong the network lifetime, some sleep scheduling methods are used in the wireless sensor networks. while using sleep scheduling methods, the broadcasting delay for transmitting the alarm increases. In order to reduce the broadcasting delay, novel sleep scheduling algorithm is used, which results in energy consumption, because of the increase in time slots. The proposed method uses PMAC to reduce the energy consumption.
