Abstract
In this paper, we propose a coordinated scheduling scheme called SCSI-based coordinated scheduling, which is one kind of precoding matrix indicator (PMI) coordination, to select cell edge users in a dual-cell environment utilizing statistical channel state information (CSI). Different from conventional PMI coordination schemes that determine the best PMI and the good PMI set from instantaneous CSI (ICSI), our proposed scheme employs the statistical CSI (SCSI) to extract eigen directions for PMI coordination, which is valid and efficient in spatially correlated channels. Numerical results show that under strong spatially correlated environment, the proposed scheme holds a desirable performance with much reduced feedback overhead, and has better robustness than conventional schemes utilizing only ICSI.
