Abstract
Based on the newest research about open innovation and total innovation management, the paper puts forward the content and theoretical framework of open & total Innovation, and conducts a case study by the example of CIMC. According to the research outcome in this paper, open & total innovation management is the key strategy and path for Chinese firms to improve their international competitive competencies and obtain sustainable competitive advantages.
