Abstract
This paper focuses on using the acoustic vector field physical properties for ocean bottom geoacoustic inversion. The vector acoustic field characteristics of a shallow water waveguide with elastic bottom are described according to the Fast Field Models (FFM) at first. The intensity and propagation direction of power fluxes I in underwater acoustic field is numerically investigated, and the correlation of sound pressure and particle velocity is analyzed. For the vertical velocity contains more information from bottom, a sensitivity test for the vertical component of the correlation coefficient to geoacoustic parameters is presented and the benefit brought to better resolve the coupling effect of the two parameters are also discussed in this paper.
