Abstract
A recurring question raised by professors and undergraduate students involves the distribution of basic and practical - or professional - courses. Some authors defend a curriculum with more basic courses, such as mathematics, physics and chemistry, in order to create a solid foundation. Moreover, there is a growth of academic exchange programs all around the world, which require a common learning core.
