Abstract
Quasi-LoS MIMO wireless communication with twisted radio wave is proposed in this paper. By adopting twisted radio wave in N pairs of Tx and Rx antennas, orthogonal channels are realized without additional signal processing. Based on our analysis, the orthogonal groups of modes are found and the orthogonality is kept even when antenna separation decreases to zero (there is no additional space between neighboring antennas). Therefore, compact Tx/Rx devices for high capacity can be achieved.
