Abstract :
This paper proposes the evaluation of the energy saving rate of air conditioners and a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle(PHEV), and a hybrid electric vehicle(HEV). Recently, the interest in “energy saving” is increasing and a large energy saving effect is expected by reducing power consumption of the household electric apparatus and vehicles. The high performance apparatus are usually consume less power, but they are too expensive. Therefore, it is needed to evaluate whether or not purchasing and using them is substantially profitable for the consumers. In this study, air conditioners, PHEV vs. ICEV, and HEV vs. ICEV are evaluated by “Negawatt Cost”. Furthermore, “Kilometrage Cost” is proposed as a new index for vehicles.
