Abstract :
This paper deals with the modeling and controlling of an uncertain biotechnological process. More precisely, in the first part we estimate the biomass concentrations in a biotechnological process by using interval observers and the reaction rates using an OBE. Since the modeling of these processes is uncertain, only some bounds of the biomass concentrations can be estimated by using two appropriate interval observers. The second part refers to designing a robust - adaptive control structure for the process. The effectiveness and performance of these strategies are illustrated by numerical simulations.
