Abstract
An approach to distribute the surveillance for production systems is developed. This approach considers both quality and flow parameters to be monitored using intelligent agents. Each entity, in the multi-agent system that is responsible for surveillance, cooperates with other agents in order to accomplish continuous monitoring, defects detection and then optimal decision making. The monitoring agents use fuzzy logic for quality parameters follow-up and principal components analysis for flow parameters follow-up.
