  • Abstract
    Protection of optical network is an important research topic in railway optical transport network, and this paper constructed a reasonable network model according to the actual needs. Based on this model, it analyzed the switching processes of OMSP and SNCP which are frequently used in railway. Besides, APS signal transmission of bi-directional protection under these two protection modes was discussed, the calculation method for switching time was proposed, and actual test was carried out for the results. Meanwhile, by combining with the switching processes and “secondary switching” problems that often appear in actual test and discussion about the protection, it also proposed protection coordination mechanisms for different layers, and conducted theoretical analysis and practical verification for the results.
