Abstract
The high efficiency frame generation algorithm is wildly used in Advanced Orbiting Systems, so its property is important for the performance of the multiplexing mechanism. Simplified calculation methods on the average frame generation time and the average packet time delay in the high efficiency frame generation algorithm are studied. By using Erlang distribution, we get some more concise and simple calculation formulas on condition that the packet arrival rate distribution is Poisson distribution. We find that both the average frame generation time and the average packet time delay are only connected with the packet arrival rate (λ) and the number of packets in MPDU (N). Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the calculating formulas are correct. The conclusion can provide reference for engineering design.
