Abstract
Random access is the first step in the establishment of connection between the User Equipment (UE) and evolved NodeB (eNodeB) and it plays an important part in Long Term Evolution (LTE) communication system. First, this paper provides an overview of random access procedure. Secondly, it discusses the detailed procedure of random access based on the competition mode. On this basis, it proposes a scheme to implement on general purpose processor (GPP) platform, and the scheme meets the requirements of real-time performance effectively.
