Abstract
Currently ultrasonography (USG) is becoming significant health equipment in helping physicians´ diagnosis. One application is its use to scan the inside of the woman´s uterus. In the uterus itself we can get a lot of information about illnesses and pregnancy. But sometimes it is little bit difficult for getting more information about abnormality inside uterus. It is caused by image from USG is gray only. The goal of this research is making segmentation for each part inside uterus. We will give color to each section in the uterus especially in abnormal circumstances therein. It is expected with this segmentation will facilitate a physician in diagnosing abnormalities of the uterus. We divide our research into many parts. In this paper we will emphasize to compare some edge detection methods for localizing uterus area. The results show that Sobel Edge Detection has the best accuracy compared to other methods with a threshold value 0.03.
