Abstract
Electric vehicles rise new issues, among them high frequency noise, that are coming from electric powertrain. This noise is caused by interaction between magnetic radial forces and mechanical stator structure. Current harmonics may excite stator natural frequencies, thus leading to vibrations responsible for acoustic noise. In this paper, we propose a new method based on control to reduce current harmonics. They are modeled as the consequence of a sinusoidal disturbance at a given frequency. This is estimated by an observer and this estimation is used to cancel harmonic components contained in stator currents.
