Abstract
This paper makes a comparative study between fuzzy integer and fractional PID controllers. A novel fuzzy fractional PID is proposed. A methodology for tuning the fuzzy controllers is also presented. The effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approach is illustrated through its application on the control of a fractional-order plant.
