Abstract
VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Network) is designed as an important part of intelligent transportation. It provides communication service for vehicles and roadside facilities, and efficiently implements accident warning, auxiliary driving, road traffic information and internet access service, etc. With research and development of the vehicle network technology, Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Vehicle-to-Internet communication is crucial for our research. It´s necessary to select the effective and appropriate routing protocol. A new routing protocol algorithm - CBF-TREBOL has been proposed in this paper, which adds the vehicle traveling direction(TD) and credibility(CRE) based on the original TREBOL protocol, uses the CBF (Contention-based Forwarding) in order to give a safer and more stable routing protocol. In addition, the paper proposes the improved Ttakeoff calculation, expanding the calculation and improving computational efficiency. After modification, it has a larger improvement in safety and applicability than before.
