  • Abstract
    A web service is a software function provided at a network address over the web or the cloud, it is a service that is "always on" as in the concept of utility [1]. Users are provided with a convenient way by the intelligent terminal to access the network. There is a greatly practical significance to realize the ubiquitous network using mobile devices to access Web Services. The paper discusses the Web Services on mobile devices and realizes the intelligent monitoring system of the distribution network which uses the status monitoring in the power system. The implement method of the Web Services on mobile terminal is: using the gSoap on Linux platform to develop the server-side of the Web Services, using the ksoap on Android platform to develop the client-side of the Web Services. The experiments show that the above method is a convenient way for the intelligent mobile terminal to access the Web Services through internet, which can realize the network and mobility of the intelligent monitoring system.
