  • Abstract
Human factors are the main cause of creating water traffic accidents, they are not only the water transportation system information processors and decision-makers, but also the regulators and controllers. Consequently, study on human factors, especially how to intervene in unsafe driving behavior has become the core issue of the protection of water traffic safety. In this paper, the fault tree analysis method is introduced in the Yangtze River water traffic accidents, also analyze the human factors, and build the fault tree model of the Yangtze River water traffic accidents. Finally, identify the main cause of the accident through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and proposes some recommendations to control human factors.
