Abstract :
This study shows that it is not simple relationship between technology acquisition model and independent innovation capability. Through the empirical analysis of Chinese provincial panel data, we find that export-oriented economy is a very crucial context factor. In export-oriented economy, not all of t technology acquisition models play the same role. All of the index, including export, FDI and local finance spending, promote the improvement of the independent innovation capability through technology import. At the same time export promotes technology transformation; local finance spending promotes digestive absorption.
