Abstract
Polarimetric SAR (PolSAR) has emerged as a powerful remote sensing technology and used for wide range of applications. Speckle suppression in PolSAR images is an important step for the extraction of meaningful information which is subjective in nature. In this paper, we propose Cornered Difference Weighted Mean (CDWM) SAR speckle filter. This filter is evaluated qualitatively, quantitatively and results are compared with well known Refined Lee filter. Analysis revels that CDWM speckle filter is simple, computationally efficient and can be used to preserve point targets and edges.
