Abstract :
The study was realised on myocardium samples prelevated during ischemia and after reperfusion by using the cardioplegic solution in standard composition and with phosphocreatine at 25 patients during surgical correction of cardiac diseases. The following parameters of mitochondrial respiration were analysed: (1) maximum respiratory rate, (2) acceptor control of respiration - maximal and basic ratio. It was observed that myocardiac ischemia generates important changes of the researched parameters. These changes are partly reversible after reperfusion; in cardioplegic solution where phosphocreatine was not used recovery was greatly reduced. The creatine-stimulated respiration was more obvious - three times; in the presence of phosphocreatine, recovery of creatine-kinase was complete.
