Abstract
In order to fully validate the satellite antenna performance in orbit, an in-orbit test method of the antenna pattern, which is based on the shaped beam forming principle and satellite attitude bias method, analysis on the beam coverage areas at the edge of roll-off, side-lobe suppression, wighted region and level fluctuation performances is proposed. By employing the in-orbit test and error analysis, the proposed method verified the performance stability of antenna on satellite. Test results show that the proposed method can provide an excellent reference value to process the In-orbit test of antenna pattern efficiency and low cost in and practical system.
