Abstract
Image denoising is one of the most fundamental components of image processing. Almost all scientific data sets collected by the image sensors are generally contaminated by noise. It is contaminated either because of the data acquisition process, or because of naturally occurring phenomena. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to image denoising using Diversity Enhanced Wavelet Transforms (DE-WTs) in association with Bishrink filtering technique. Some of the simulation results obtained using the proposed method, and comparisons prove better performance than the classical Discrete Wavelet Transform(DWT) based image denoising with various mother wavelets from Daubechies family.
