Abstract :
This article presents the design and simulation of a MIMO antenna dedicated to picocell applications. Satisfying the compactness of a mini-residential gateway, the proposed concept is made up of two folded IFAs with PI matching circuits on a FR4 epoxy substrate. The antenna operates in the frequency range of 700 to 960 MHz with a S11 lower than -10 dB. It can be integrated in a picocell base station which has a total size of 175×140×35 mm3 and exhibits in this case, efficiencies greater than 81%.
