Abstract
An efficient scheme is presented for the method of moments simulation of axially symmetric antennas. The formulation of the problem is briefly recalled, and the issues that arise in the evaluation of the reaction integrals are identified and solved. The bi-dimensional treatment of a three-dimensional problem allows us to analyze objects with a diameter equal to several tens of a wavelength in seconds. This feature is very important in antenna synthesis processes, where repeated full-wave simulations are needed.
